Mr. Ehsan Bayat was born in 1963 in Kabul, Afghanistan. He was educated in Afghanistan where he initially pursued medical school with the dream of becoming a physician, but instead landed in the USA where he earned a degree in engineering. Mr. Bayat's family in Afghanistan was prominent in business which prepared him for his future when he established himself as a successful entrepreneur in New York and in his current role and commitment within the telecommunications industry of Afghanistan.

During the war-torn times of the last decade in Afghanistan, Mr. Ehsan Bayat felt a tremendous calling to initiate some way of helping the people of Afghanistan. This calling prompted Mr. Bayat's to make available the best in telecommunication services to the people of Afghanistan which would not only connect Afghanistan to the world and the world to Afghanistan but also lead to economic development.

Thus Afghan Wireless Communication Company was born in 2001 by the vision and commitment of Ehsan Bayat, who left his homeland of Afghanistan for the USA in 1980.
