Takhar/Kunduz will run to Say No to Drugs on Friday June 22nd.

Taluqan the capital of Takhar, a beautiful city in the north of Afghanistan, known for their lavish green mountains and meandering river, is the perfect setting for the “Takhar/Kunduz Run Race 07.”

Part of a series of Run Races being coordinated by the Bayat Foundation and supported by Afghan Wireless, the Run Race is an important sporting event for the city. The first run race was held in Kandahar on April 8th where hundreds of participants were cheered by thousands of dwellers of Kandahar symbolizing one voice for peace and unity. Jalalabad and Mazar-e-Sharif followed in joining the voice of No to Drugs in later weeks.

This exciting event in Takhar/Kunduz on June 22nd will encourage people from all walks of life to come out and express themselves in a fun and healthy way. Those who do not want to run can enthusiastically cheer the participants along the route.

Scheduled to be held on the 22nd June , the Takhar/Kunduz Run Race will cover a distance of 10Km in the Taluqan city, starting from Chashm-i-Sher and finishing at Chaman-e-Sharwali.

Remember to be part of Takhar/Kunduz’s Sporting Event of the Year. Come run and cheer for peace and unity.
