Afghan Wireless announces the change from 070 to 0700 as a result of subscriber base growth.

Afghan Wireless was the first company to start operations in the country and has grown phenomenally in the past five years. This growth meant new town coverage and an increased customer base. As a result we have had to upgrade our network with an upgraded pre-fix dialing code from 070 to NOW 0700.

From now onwards, all Afghan Wireless subscribers and others wanting to call an Afghan Wireless subscribers will need to add a 0 before dialing any Afghan Wireless number.

For example 070-XXX XXX will now become 0700-XXX XXX.

This digit enhancement is a result of the trust the Afghan consumers have placed in Afghan Wireless and is evident by the growing number of Afghan Wireless family. These growing numbers meant that we needed more mobile numbers to cater to the ever growing demand and hence this additional digit 0.We will now be able to meet the ongoing demand and ensure that the Afghan Wireless family continues to grow.

As in the words of our visionary Chairman, Mr. Ehsan Bayat - I would like the Afghan Wireless family to grow and would like to provide them the best in class services the world is experiencing. Our network upgrade to Siemens the world leader in prepaid system is a testimony to that.
