Mr. Amin Ramin said that it gives me great honor and contentment to announce yet another milestone achieved by us which reflects the trust of our customers in Afghan Wireless; An Afghan Company, By Afghans, for Afghans which has now grown to a family of 2 Million! A family which has shown there trust by making us what we are today.

With a subscriber base of over 2 million now; AWCC is the only company which is capable to provide superb connectivity across the country to all major companies of Afghanistan including other operators which are benefiting from this backbone. Not only this, two main banks of Afghanistan, Azizi Bank and Kabul Bank are using AWCC backbones to connect their 75 Branches across the country. Various NGOs and Govt. Organizations depend on AWCC for their connectivity requirements. In the last year itself, AWCC provided connectivity to more than 300 locations using its microwave backbones.

On top of the ring, additional backbones were built to connect Torghandi, and Nuristan along with capacity upgrades on existing backbones. A very high capacity link has been established to Pakistan, Paris and New York over Microwave Land and Undersea fiber route which is again a first in the history of Afghanistan. This link has provided the highest Internet capacity which enables the customer to use GPRS-EDGE while they are on the move.
